This thing did not work at all. Not worth the shipping cost which was greater than the product cost.

    • Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? ??? didn't work--I would call that defective

My daughter's car has no MP3 jack. She lost the last one of these I had bought for her - they wanted $50 fpr one at Radio Shack. Knowing that she'd probably lose a pice again, I got another from Overstock - at an incredible price, and she's happy.

the 'transmit' part is pretty weak. you need to find a station that is basically clear on both sides... sometimes hard to do in a major market. It is, however, better than nothing, especially if you're dealing with an older car and don't want put the money into fixing or upgrading your stereo.

My husband has an old fashion car with a cassette that he inherited from his dad. He was happily surprised when I gave him this cable, and when it worked he was even more excited! His iPod doesn't make it in the house any longer!
