I've used these on a bicycle, motorcycle (i know i'm not supposed to), and on an airplane, and they work great. I can hear music over the wind noise or airplane noise clearly - even at low volumes. My only complaint is that they can be uncomfortable after extended use...but i haven't tried the smaller size plugs that were provided.
