I purchased Solo S/2 Escort radar/Laser detector few weeks ago and I love it, I get plenty of alerts and gives me few false alarms. One other thing I like about this device is its dynamic look. I will highly recommend this product to my friends and family.

This is my second Solo as the first one broke because of deffective suction cups. The range on this newer version is very poor and the signal or sound is too low that you can't hear it with the radio on. Also, Escort's Customer Service is the worst I've seen

It dose not pick up C.H.P. Laser. Several tmes, the highwy patrol, from in front of me, shot a car coming up behind me, amy detector never went off.

This radar detector works great. The battery does run out often, as it uses 2 AA batteries. I would recommend getting rechargeable batteries if you want to use this all the time. I can hear it over the radio very well. Overall a very good buy.

This radar is very practical and batteries last way longer than I anticipated. Great choice

I bought this for my husband's birthday. I had purchased another model from overstock but it had to be professionaly installed and my husband didn't want to put it in his 2008 BMW which he just bought. I did some homework on this product and it seemed to be one of the best for radar's. The only problem I see is what one other person said when the batteries run out you would have to buy a charger and this is a bit tricky since it has the end of phone jack. I tried to use a plug in from my previous radar and that failed. Overall it works fine.

I have owned this model for many years. It always performed to my satisfaction. When it came time to purchase a gift, I again chose the Solo. Overstock provided the best price and great service.

My previous S2 was stolen from my vehicle while parked at the health club, so I was familiar with the operation and programming features. It can be a bit frustrating to program the first time and to find out which settings will work best for you, but all of the features you will need are there. The detector is certtainly sensitive enough for city driving in "city" mode. Have also had good luck in "highway" mode on the open road.
