I've used this scanner for textbook images, personal documents, sketches and drawings. It fulfills all my expectations, and has clear, high-resolution scans that I can drop right into photoshop (and alter to my heart's content). Great way to go paperless!

Okay, so first, the order came 2 days after I ordered it. WOW! Another amazement from Overstock! I've been playing with this for a few weeks & have not been disappointed! Regular snapshot photos taken anywhere from the last few years to more than 20 years ago come out great. Scanning negatives took a little practice but are coming out awesome! Much quicker to scan a negative with 4 pix instead of sitting there scanning 1 photo after another. I've also been scanning older black & white negatives that measured 2.5x2.5 inches & they came out great! Even the ones that I could barely see anything on the negative itself, once it went thu the scanner it was perfect! I chose to stop using the plastic holder because I could scan 3-4 negatives at a time instead of 2 with the holder. Software is pretty easy to use & I've already made little movies with Windows Live Movie Maker & everything works great. Con: little to no directions with different modes (home/professional/auto) - advice: negatives need either home or professional & unclick the "thumbnails" box so you can see the entire sheet & create your own margins for each photo. Completely happy with purchase!

Great scanner for negative and slides which is why I bought it. Works great as normal scanner too.

This epson scanner will download slides. Then you can create a lasting format that can be spread out to the family. It is a wonderfuly way to share the memories of the past.
