Bought for emergencies mostly
I bought this as a backup for emergencies like a hurricane which are common in this area. We have used it on numerous occations when we wanted to have a TV with us like watching the "big game" in the garage while working on a project. Reception can be tricky but that would be the case regardless of what type of portable digital unit you buy (I think).

could be a 5 if:
1. the volume in tv mode is way too low...you need a seperate speaker. 2. the antenna picked up more than a few channels. 3. it could block out glare. 4. the unit was more slim. The picture quality is good. Car kit, remote work well. It is virtually imposible to fing a tv/dvd combo in a retail store such as Best Buy, so it is better than nothing.

THIS PORTABLE TV AND DVD PLAYER HAD A GREAT PICTURE FOR THE DVD PLAYER, BUT THE RECEPTION WAS POOR.

POSSIBILITIES
I TRIED OUT BOTH THE DVD AND THE T.V. FEATURES. THE DVD REALLY WORKS WELL. THE TV IS LIMITED BY THE ANTENNA. I COULD ONLY GET A COUPLE OF UNIMPORTANT CHANNELS. THE UNIT HAS POSSIBILITIES SO I WILL TRY TO GET MORE INFO. FROM THE TECH. SUPPORT GROUP. AT LEAST THERE IS A PLACE TO RING UP FOR INFO.
