These speakers sound great to be so small. Perfect for rear surround speakers! You will not be disappointed. Especially if you match them with the Energy tower speakers and an energy center channel speaker. The best sounding speakers I have ever heard.

I wasn't sure when I saw the price of these and had never heard of the company. I looked them up online and they make some awesome speakers. I figure these are bottom of the line for the company. Their speakers range in the thousands. They are a little different than shown in the picture. They are actually bass-reflex and not sealed as in the picture. There is a small port under the mid-range.I have put these through a lot. I burned them in for about 50 hours. I set my music server to play random at a good volume while I was a work. A few days later I abused them. Dance music...loud. They sound great!!!! The sound dispersion is amazing, full room sound! I do watch the occasional THX movie and they are great, but as music speakers, I can't say enough. I run them with a sub and they have just enough bass to blend in. Solid mids and crispy highs.The mounting brackets are proprietary, I had to drill some holes to use them with my speaker stands and Macguyver the existing hardware from the stands to make them work. They have a machined aluminum case, plastic on top and come with some neat glass stands that didn't work for me. One of mine had a little nick on the top plastic piece, which is why I figure they are at Overstock.These are totally worth it.

I bought this speaker to play music on my computer. The reviews were great, but nothing that i saw mentioned that this had to be hooked up by speaker wires. It does, and it's probably great if thats what you want it for.
