Overall this is a fast charger and is well constructed. The internal fan that blows while charging is a little loud, but it is only on during the charging process to cool the batteries (<15 minutes). I found the charger to be a bit bulky with an AC adapter and the actual charging unit...was expecting something that I plug directly into the wall like my old one. Not sure that I will keep this out all the time given the size, but with a charge of 15 minutes there is no need to let it sit out and plugged in for hours. Don't let these slight quibbles fool you, it is a great charger.

Description
NiMH 15-minute charger with car adapter recharges four AA or AAA NiMH and NiCad batteries for use in only 15 minutes. Built-in safety timer and temperature sensor individually monitors cells condition and terminates charging current when charged. Trickle charge prevents losing charge level from self-discharge or storage and keeps batteries at full capacity. Charge status LED indicator alerts you when batteries are ready. don't last long After buying too many batteries for my digital camera - decided to try these. Batteries do charge in 15-minutes - and charge in car with included adapter. I don't think they last long enough - I know digital cameras are a real energy hog - but one afternoon of taking photos and I drained both sets. Could be operator error - but this has been my experience.

Good buy As advertised, although I didn't actuallly time, I checked about 45 minutes after inserting 4 AAA batteries and they were fully charged. I do minutes for a college and use a digital recorder. This will make my life a lot easier.
