This particular screen compacts down into its own case, everything is a single unit. It takes about 5 minutes to set up. Weighs a reasonable amount. However it is very long, and in my SUV it sits partially in the front seats and goes straight to the back window. So it's not for anyone with a small car. But it is a great screen. Thus far I've used it in several locations, including full day light and it produces nice color. I do have concerns about it becoming more difficult to fit into the case, and it may start to warp eventually, but for now, and for either extended or casual use (but not both) I think it will be good for some time to come.
