Works as advertised. Used this on a Mac running 10.7 Lion. Recognized and no drivers needed. The 6ft extension cord however, might not be good enough for some applications. If you need a USB extension cord, I'd recommend an "active" one that also boosts the signal.

Everything about this product is great, the sound quality couldn't be better. There is a huge downside to it, unfortunately. The audio channels are REVERSED, that means on your speakers or headset, sounds on the right play out the left speaker, and sounds on the left play on the right speaker. This is extremely upsetting because I play video games on a regular basis, so hearing sound correctly would really aid in playing the game and reduce confusion.

I bought this little device so because my PC has better control over audio coming in through the USB port. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because the casing does not stay together very well. A quick press and click and all is well. Over all it really isn't a deal breaker, just slightly annoying. Mechanically, it works great. The additional length of cord is nice to have around. This is something every geek should keep in their arsenal for times when the standard jacks are not available.

they charge you *** for a turtle beach one that just looks nicer, trut me this thing is well worth the money when you want to convert any xbox or pc headset to ps3!
