Customer Reviews
This isn't a bad software package for older kids, and maybe the 7-11 age range Overstock quotes is ok. However, the front of the package (and the descriptions of all the individual software packges included in it) says ages 4-7, which is just not right. These games are not age-appropriate for preschool aged kids and possibly not for early elementary, either.Nearly all the games are either timed and/or allow for the kid to (fairly easily) lose/fail. It's a fairly high-pressure setup that is not necessary or appropriate for young kids. My daughter can subtract 3 from 5, for example; but asking her to subtract 3 from 5, find the bug spray can with the 2 on it, and click and drag it onto the "5-3" but to "kill" the bug before the bug flies off the screen is just way too much.On the software performance side, the performance of the software itself is fine. It was easy to install and the sound and pictures are fine. My daughter's computer is an 8-year-old laptop (with Windows XP) and it wasn't a problem to install or run the stuff. It was just once I got it on there and saw what it did, I was sorry I wasted the money in the first place....
