This charger is an excellent alternative to the OEM charger. The OEM took one drop to the floor and was toast... with the tremendous difference in price I was able to purchase several of these chargers and extra batteries for the same cost as 1 OEM charger. It's obviously built a little cheaper, but performs the same function and now I have the ability to charge in lots of places without hauling everything with me. These also have car functionality where the OEM does not. Also, if I lose or break one, it doesn't ruin the shooting day.
