I purchased this for my six year old daughter. I had been looking for an alarm clock for her to help with waking up for school, and wanted one that had a voice to wake up to, not just a loud beeping or a radio station. The item is cute, well made (entirely of plastic), and does have an alarm. Another plus: the voice actually sounds like Mickey Mouse. However, all of the phrases it says are about money. When the alarm goes off, Mickey shakes the bank (as he does if you insert a coin) and makes a comment: "Cha-ching!," or, "That's music to my ears," and others. I was hoping for something along the lines of "wake up, sleepyhead." This is the reason for my giving it four stars instead of five.

i fell in love with it when i saw it and i was almost sure my niece would feel the same.. i was right.. i couldnt help but play with it first when i got it before i wrapped it for my niece's birthday. its not only fun to play with, its functional too..

This is colorful, well made and had excellent sound quality. My friend's 2 year old had a Mickey Mouse themed BD Party and she loved this. The noise of the coins shaking and Mickey's voice is entertaining for a small child. It is a nice clock radio as well. It is sturdy and I was surprised that is was constructed so well because so many toys are so flimsy these days. This is well worth the price and the bonus is that you can use batteries or the power cord.
