I use a Pentax K10D. I am very satisfied. Pentax is a great camera manufacturer.

It is my first time buying a larger camera with more zoom potential. So glad I bought this one! For the price, it has a lot of features which I am still learning. Took it on a trip to Sedona, AZ and got great red rock pictures and panoramic landscape shots. I zoomed in on a rock climber very far away and it came out crisp and clear! Colors are vibrant, and close-up shots are good too. It's like getting a higher priced camera with multiple lenses, but all in one camera. I love it and will be using it a lot. Highly recommend. Love the battery charging capability too!

Great beginners camera. My 14 year old daughter purchased this with her own money and has used it nonstop. Functions well and the quality of pics is excellent. Package is a great deal and comes with all one needs to get started.

I've been a Pentax user for for almost 50 years and I deeply love slr's. But as I age, every little bit of weight I can shed matters. Goodbye prism and mirror. For most folk this is a crossover from a point and shoot to a slr. And since it uses the same lenses as Pentax slrs use, any lens investment now will have lasting value, even if you decide to move up in the camera world to the big, clunky, real thing. OK, Pentax over the years has done an excellent job in reducing camera weight, and yet they build sturdy cameras. The K-01 has most of the bells and whistles found in its big sibling, the K 5, probably more than you'll ever need. It's a great instrument for helping one learn about photography. It is more than snapshots! Even if you use it to take lots of snapshots as well. And if you move up, do so before you hit the age of bifocals whereupon the tiny viewfinder presents new challenges. The 3 inch screen does spoil us older users.

This camera comes highly rated by people who rate these things. My daughter has enjoyed using it in the few days since it arrived. The one thing that sets this camera apart is that the package from Overstock which includes everything one needs to get going, things that are expensive and time-consuming to buy separately.

My spouse and I have been looking at digital SLR cameras for a few months now, but have never owned one, so were looking to "step up" from a point and shoot without spending a huge sum of money. This camera is a great way to get into a fancier camera without a lot of expenditure. Used it to take some family photo's and shots of grandchild, and are VERY happy with the clarity and quality of the photos. Granted, not a true SLR, but wow!! Great way to learn and the lenses are compatable with true Pentax SLR's so can go to the next level without having lens expenditure. Auto focus a little noisy, but well worth the money, especially for beginners or student photography.

My son is a wrestler and I had another camera I had used for two years and was not getting the quality of pictures I wanted. I debated on spending the money for a new camera when I had one, but when I compared the old one to this one I felt I would get better quality photos due to this one is actually a better quality camera. I am very pleased with photos I get now, they are sharper and more clear. As for the cost of the camera I feel like it was a good value with all the accessories that came with it. Very pleased with my choice.

I used a D7000 for personal and travel photography ( I am a professional photographer) and recently upgraded to the D7100 which is even better. Stereo sound for HD video and the EXSpeed processor which used to only be in the pro lines of Nikon. I chose the new 18-300mm Nikkor as that is an all in one travel lens.

Wow, this is a camera! I will spend many moons learning about all it's features. Image quality is superb. With Pentax in general, I can buy the necessary lenses without having to get rid of them if I upgrade the camera. That was my primary reason for buying a Pentax. I like the automatic features with the ability to control the lens. If I want to take my time, there are all the manual possibilities. H ave yet to learn what all the numbers mean. Only wish the manual was more elementary since it's touted as an entry level SLR. This is a serious camera, and the next step up from a 'rebel' type which I owned previously. I'm excited about this as I use a camera as a reference tool since I'm an artist.

I am disappointed that the owner's manual doesn't have better instructions and that I could not find tutorials on Sony's website but I LOVE MY NEW CAMERA. I have found some tutorials posted on YouTube by individuals and they have been helpful but most of what I've learned has been trial and error. This camera is user-friendly and I have taken some awesome photographs. I'm still not too good with video footage but I just need more practice. The 50X zoom has been great fun to play with. No bug in my yard can escape me now. I'm glad that I got the bundle as what comes in the box is a bit deficient and the bundle is cost-effective. I really did a lot of research before making this purchase.

I love the compact metal body, but I miss a viewfinder just available in more expensive models like the a6000. A special function for sunny days allows to set up more brightness on the display. Pictures and high resolution videos are just amazing!
