  • Great camera! Great price!

I owned A Canon Power Shot for years and loved every thing about it so when it wore out I replaced it with a newer model. The things I love about this camera is the small size, easy portability and great picture quality. It fits easily in my pocket or evening bag (important when on a cruise) so I am always ready to capture the perfect sunset or grandchild smile.

  • Nice Entry-Level DSLR Package

    Oct 16, 2014

dannysd  from San Diego, CA, Rating:5.0

As a beginner into SLRs, this entry-level package deal was at a right price point for me with enough performance to engage my creativity. The camera felt small in my hand but with an added battery pack extension, it felt right compared to the ****** I've tried. The lenses in the package are decent for all purpose walkarounds but I would recommend a 35 or 50 prime lens as your next step up. The high 24mp pixel is attractive and 3" monitor is plenty however it does not have vari-angle monitor (if that's important to you) offered in similar price point ******. There are some default auto scene modes that can be useful but I'm sure you wouldn't really want to spend this much to do something that a point and shoot camera can so I'd recommend practicing with the A and S mode until you're familiar then advance to your own Manual Mode. The camera is light weight considering most camera bodies are plastic and with some accessories like a tripod, wireless remote, a decent strap and a few SD car...

Excellent camera, especially for the price, the zoom (optical not digital) is amazing and the quality of the image is as good as a $*** camera. I take day and night pictures, the auto scene makes it easy to choose your environment, Using a tripod you can get pictures of stars with the night setting I have a zoom picture to a red tail hawk in a 120 foot tall tree over 100 yards away that you can see hm picking at his feathers. I take regular pictures through transparent glass from inside the house and get great pictures I have had this for over 1 year and would not hesitate to buy it again, it is a regular size camera that will not fit in your pocket. It is not an SLR and the lens does not remove.

I've been a camera user for so many years and Canons have proven to be the best compact cameras out there.
