On & off switch is difficult to operate. I have problems with it and therefor not crazy about this camera. For the price I paid, there are much better cameras out there. Personally I won't recommend this camera.

I recently went to Europe for 2 weeks, with my mother, so I wanted an extra camera, however I only used this one, which was an upgrade from my other digital camera. HOWEVER, my only warning is that it takes a MICRO memory card, not the standard one you have been using for the last 7 years. If you buy this camera, you will need new cards, rendering your old cards useless, just keep that in mind. It did take great pictures, and I loved the screen on the front, as I take about a million self portraits, so you really get the good alignment, similar to a cell phone camera. The pics are great- and I haven't even used the upload technology, which I should have studied before I went.

Overstock quickly shipped this camera to me after an order verification which is totally understandable! This camera did not come with a lens, however, I am using it with old lenses I've collected in the past such as m42's and M mount lenses. There are plenty of adapters that you can purchase to use on this amazing camera! The menu does take some getting used to but eventually becomes second nature and focusing is a total breeze! If you're looking for a pro-sumer digital camera and want something a little above the rest, get this now! Thank you, Overstock!

This camera is perfect for carrying it with you wherever you go. It's more compact than my digital SLR but with many comparable features. There is even a feature where when taking a picture, it determines people in the shot and generates a second picture with closer up shots. (Most of the time, the auto-generated pictures were better than the pictures I had taken!)

Very good stability even at high optical zoom. A little tough to hold steady at maximum optical and digital zoom. Camera has a lot of features built in for the money. When taking multiple pictures, the screen stays blank after the first shot which makes it hard to keep the subject in the frame.

I've had many SLR cameras in the past [35mm, Digital] and Video Cameras as well. I, by far, am NO pro user . . . just a casual photographer. This model seems to be the "Best of Both Worlds" [still photography and Video] for me. On vacation I would carry a still photo camera and a separate video cam as well as accessories for both. This model is compact enough to do the deed of both. I also have other Nikon lens that I can use on this model also. At 24 mega pixels and more features [than I know what to do with . . .] as well as price, I consider it a VALUE purchase that is hard to beat, not to mention being a genuine NIKON.

I am extremely pleased with this purchase from Overstock.com! I once was a fairly good 35mm film photographer, but I've only owned a couple of digital cameras... point-and-shoot type. This Fuji camera's quality is amazing. I play in a band, and we needed a camera to do some quality digital promo photos with. We are not disappointed! It can be easily used on automatic, or you have the option to use a number of other exposure settings. The fact that it can recognize up to 10 faces in a photo and compensate for exposure and focus on each of them is super. And the video (movie) quality is quite good too. I especially like the fact that it compensates for arbitrary hand movements to keep focus clean and clear, since my hands are not as steady as they once were, due to MS. Overstock include everything you need to use this camera out of the box, from an SD card and card reader to a set of rechargeable batteries (and a set of regular ones too). And the price is amazing for all of this!
