Digital display is too small!
 from Castleton-on-Hudson, NY,  Oct 16, 2006

I come from a family of very nearsighted people and trying to read the time display is quite a chore! Had I known the power button would have to be pushed on in order to light up the time, I never would have purchased this product. In order to set the alarm, the power button has to be turned off and doesn't turn on until the alarm goes off. Weird. Even with the display lit, the numbers are quite small. Otherwise the CD and radio work fine. Oh well, you win some and lose some!

CD/AM/FM Clock Radio
 from Florida,  Sep 22, 2006

Unit is so light that it moves whenever I try to turn the machine on or off, as controls are at the front of the unit. Radio reception is less than expected. Has much more static than expected from a local FM station I listed to. Static increases the closer I get to the unit. To turn on CD one must first turn on the entire unit, check that it is on CD, hit the play button, which moves the entire unit, and then hit the same button again. Also, backlight remains on as long as the unit is "on", so if you want to go to sleep with a CD on, you get a blue light all night long. I block it with a pillow.

good for work
from Tucson az,  Jan 25, 2007

All I read in the reviews were that some hate that the light was always on when it was on and some hate that the light was always off unless the radio was on and how the time didn't appear without pushing the button but I got this for work so that I could listen to radio stations and CD's. It is perfect for that. I don't need the time displayed, I also don't care if the light is on or off. It's small, all buttons are up front where I need them and it works great for my desk.

Waste of money
from Dallas, TX,  Dec 1, 2006

This is the crummiest radio. The backlight is NOT on unless the radio is on. The time does NOT display - only the radio channel. It is not user-friendly, and operates more like a dinosaur than what one would expect from an item sold in the year 2006. I was very disappointed.

Piece of trash
from NYC, NY,  Sep 4, 2006

This alarm clock doesn't work at all from the moment I took it out of the box! Its some Asian model with no English instructions. I was travelling away from home for a couple of weeks and it now appears I can't return it. Too bad, this was a complete waste of money.

Digital AM/FM/CD Alarm Clock
from Brooksville, Florida,  Sep 7, 2009

The alarm clock is virtually useless, if it weren't for shipping cost and restocking fee, I would have returned it. The light on the front doesn't work, so you can not see the time, the speakers are horrible, listening to music is totally off key and hurts your ears. The item is a waste of money.

Horrible
 Dec 27, 2008

Positively the worst clock radio I have ever owned. My grandmother gave it to my mom because she didn't want it, then it got passed to me because my mom hated it. Now I hate it. DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!!It took me 15 minutes to set the time, so I had to set it againSound quality is terrible and the cd sounds weird as the music sounds like it was a remix! It seems to play part of the next song on the cd softly while the other song is playing. The buttons are so hard to press, you can't see the screen as it is blank, if you know what I mean! When you set the alarm (which is almost imposible) it never goes off.The only positive thing is that it does turn on! Wow!

Hard to Read
from Baton Rouge, LA,  Jan 2, 2007

This alarm clock is not user-friendly. The numbers do not light up and there is no backlight unless the CD or radio is playing. And then you can't set the alarm with anything playing. Although waking up to a CD is nice, it only plays the first few chords of the first song over and over again. And the snooze is only 5 minutes - not nearly long enough! Overall it is a bad design!

Great Item
from Washington, DC,  May 11, 2010

This is almost exactly what we were looking for. We wanted a cd player with digital am/fm tuner for our son's room. This works as it is supposed to. The digital am/fm tuner stays tuned to the classical station we had so much trouble getting at night with an analog tuner. CD player works fine. But clock radio only turns on with the push button - our old radio would turn on whenever we turned on a light switch; this one won't do that - if you have it plugged into a socket that you can turn it off with a switch, turning the light switch back on will not restart the clock radio - this is the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. Wish it looked a little more appropriate for a baby's room, but that's not the clock radio's fault.

boo!!!
 from florida,  May 1, 2010

Im being nice by giving this alarm clock two stars...... We really were excited to get this. not even having it for two weeks it breaks, you can't get a decent station at all, the cd player is what attracted us to it. That broke too. I would not waste you money on this. Get something different this product is NO good.

This AM/FM Clock radio and CD player is perfect for my needs. It fits perfectly on the small stand next to my bed. I like the fact that the light that displays the time can be turned completely off. It is quite brite (pretty blue hue) and I have enough light in the room already. There is a small delay when ever you push any button, but I've gotten used to it. It looks somewhat old fashioned, but it fits my decor. One drawback, you have to flip a small switch in the back of the unit to change from radio to CD or alarm only. This is a little awkward, especially if it's dark, but I can deal with it. I'm glad I chose this radio since it works so well in the space I have.

Good Night

I purchased this unit so I could fall asleep to my chosen CD. It is wonderful. It fits perfectly on the night stand. The back light features bathes the room in a soft blue light and the sound is wonderful.
