  I'm not unhappy with this, as I primarily want a large black box that sits under a desk that will not tempt anyone and it won't sustain the accidental damage that a laptop is expose to. I would have preferred an HP mouse and an HP keyboard instead of the provided new keyboard and mouse, which appear to be the cheapest things available, but I still have my old mouse and keyboard to use, so this is not a huge issue. Initial set up was quick. Running updates and minor configuration took another hour (not bad). The inspector's checklist seemed to correspond to a different type of computer, as many of the items checked off as "pass" really were not applicable, so I won't rely on the inspection. This may have been a pricey machine when it was new on the market (the original software on it was Windows Vista downgraded to Windows XP, prior to being refurbished) and I expect it will last for a long time. There appears to be a good amount of room in the case to expand, if desired...

  Clean inside and out. The usual windows activation and updates without issue. Windows 7 Pro X64 installed. Hard drive has many hours of use as expected, but no failure indicators. Overall a good deal.

  This computer was packaged as if it were new. Included was a document explaining the refurbishing process and listing all of the tests it "passed." Each component was either wrapped or contained in plastic, and some were also in their own boxes (the keyboard and mouse). Here are some details that I would want to know if I were considering buying it: 1. It is NOT a tower; I believe it's meant to sit horizontally. I'm sure you can use it vertically if you want. But the design is horizontal and the DVD drive is oriented that way. It's a small form factor computer, which means it's not as large as most. Very nice size! 2. The box actually states that the hard drive is 1.5 GB, which is, I assume, why the description on Overstock lists that. This IS an error, the hard drive is 1.5 TB. 3. The keyboard and mouse included with the unit I purchased are an off-brand -- iMicro. The keyboard has a smaller backspace button and may have some other less-than-convenient features.   Not a legal copy of windows provided. Mouse did not work. On second day of use - fan started running like a jet engine and the unit shut down. Turned it on and it said that it was too heated too continue. I have bought other refurbs with never an issue(from other companies). This one was terrible.

  The computer will not shut down manually, must pull the power. When attempting to load from disc, I have to open the program on the disc manually and select auto run. The machine is very very noise when loading a program disc. The case shows some very rough handling. You would think these problems would be detected before sold
