One of the three Mp3 players sticks, it will not go to the next song
I spent a lot of time trying to get the Dell to work. It is recognized as a usb mp3 player on my computer, however the power on button does not work. It was non functioning out of the box. Since the price I paid was so low, it wasn't worth returning it to Overstock, ie. shipping costs to send back and time spent on it. I've read elsewhere on the net that other people have similar experiences with the device. Poor quality control on Dell's part.
I BOUGHT THIS FOR MY NEPHEW FOR CHRISTMAS, HE LOVED IT.
I ordered this mp3 for my grandson in New York. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised when I received it: it turned out to be more than I expected. I would have expected the mp3 to be more expensive based on its features. My grandson was quite happy with it. My daughter and my teenage granddaughter were actually plotting to take it from him while he sleeps because it is such a fabulous gift. I had given the girls mp3 players I'd purchased from the store earlier in the year and I must say I was a bit reluctant to give this one to my grandson because I knew it would make them jealous.I was also quite pleased with the ease I had in ordering the unit as well as the fact that it was delivered on time as promised.I definitely recommend this product as well as Overstock.com.Thank you. It has been a pleasure doing business with you.
I bought 3 of these for Christmas presents for "tweens". They all loved them!!! They were easy to program, and looked much more expensive than the low price I paid for each. I could not find a better quality for the money in stores!!! Overstock.com, you did it again!!! Great Quality at a very low price!!!Thanks for making my Christmas shopping a Breeze!!!!
perfect combination of good quality brand product and very low price. I recommend to anyone looking for a cheap but reliable mp3
I bought this for my 5 year old. Easy to use. Awesome sound. I would buy one for me too!
I bought this as a christmas present because it's reviews and product information made it seem to be very easy to operate. With it's fm radio and music player option it sounded just right. It worked the first time I turned it on. I did get to play the radio and the already programed song that came on it. I tried to ajust the date and time but it didn't save. It is chargable threw the computer like an ipod but it didn't allow for a remove safely operation. I couldn't figure out how to unplug it from the computer. When it was charged we tried to play the radio but the select button stopped working and it wouldn't turn off. In the end all you could do was scroll left and right. I bought this for it's multi function but overall I wouldn't recommend the product especially since the one I bought is defective. I did call overstock support center and they were great. Worked with me to return the product and refund my purchase. I apprieciate that and it was a very easy process to return my product but I don't think I'll buy again from them. I don't want to have to keep returning a defective product.
The Ditty is a great, small form factor, and relatively easy to use for simple music playback. The sound is quite good. The 512MB of flash is a bit low, particularly as the quality of MP3s is pushing individual songs into the 10MB range. If you're a button pusher, and cause it to hang, keeping a paper clip handy to reset it is a bit of an inconvenience.
this is a great mp3 player but it did not come with the CD of the audio program you must use to operate this mp3 player.
So firs thing's first--this thing is a tank, works great, and was worth its original release price (of whatever it was...don't remember--probably comparable to the original-generation of iPod Shuffles). It's simple, it actually has a GUI/screen (take that, shuffle!) and can hold half a gig of songs. A couple good quality albums. It's a great deal. Now here's the problem--Dell decided not to supply any drivers for Vista. This product doesn't come with the age-old Musicmatch/drivers CD, and no amount of online searching resulted in any luck getting a Vista PC to recognize this thing. You can charge it via the USB port, but in order to transfer music back and forth, you must use XP.If you have XP, or access to any computer that still has XP (transfer music from Vista comp to XP, then XP to the Ditty...better than nothing!), then, this is a great MP3 player to own, even if it's a 2005 model. It's sturdy, the screen is easy to see, the navigation is simple, and the USB enclosure is protected and sturdy. It even comes with a backup USB cap.Battery life is quite good and charge takes approx. 2.5 hours. It comes with a lanyard, an attatched USB-end cap(black), an extra USB-end cap(blue), a set of comfy earbuds, 2 sets of earbud covers (black foam ones), and 2 instruction booklets. The CD mentioned in the Start-Up Guide in the packaging isn't included. Overstock doesn't list the CD as included though, so this shouldn't be expected. So, to sum up--if you have XP or access to an XP computer, this is a great affordable gift, albeit a hard one to give to anyone with a current-gen PC. Kinda stuck since I bought 5 of them though :)
This product is awful, don't think cheap like I did, this product is not worth it. You have to go song to song to scroll, horrible navigation, very little memory, just awful. Spend another $50, it will be worth it.
i couldn`t beleive my eyes when i saw how low the price on this mp3 player was, i thought i was dreaming, i first bought 2 then the next thing i new i bought 2 more then, then i ended up buying 2 more i just had to buy one for myself , and yes these are christmas gifts for my grandkids and my kids this price really did help my budject this year, and this player is easy to work it is awesome thank you overstock
I had no problem operating this Mp3 player. The player was recognized by the Windows Media player via Sync menu. I was able to download music and operate the fm radio without any problem.
I was very excited when I ordered this item. I not only ordered one, but I ordered two. I bought one for me and one for my husband. I am not a techno person, but this was very easy for me to use. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to start becoming techno aware.
