Dell
Since the 1980s, Dell has been crafting custom personal PCs. In the past few decades, Dell laptops, desktops and netbooks have become a strong competitor for PC consumers. The company's ability to create custom PCs with a wide range of features, memory, storage space and graphics processing power have produced computer models that cater to users of all types, from business users to gamers.
For average computer users, the Dell Studio line is a collection of laptops and desktops designed for everyday computing, but with more extra features, connection ports and style options than low-end computer lines. Dell laptops deliver performance for Web browsing, office tasks and other typical functions while leaving capacity for more advanced media tasks, like movies and music. Dell also leaves their laptop designs open for expansion with room for additional memory, upgradable hard drives and expansion slots for compatible computer hardware.
Dell is also able to move to new heights of portability with the Dell Mini netbooks of the Inspiron series, featuring small screen sizes and lightweight computers that are easy to take anywhere. While portability remains a priority, Dell has made it clear that they are focused on serving advanced users and PC gamers alike. The Dell XPS series focuses on powerful graphics processing and entertainment features that put some Dell desktops and laptops in competition with even the most powerful custom-gaming PCs.
Dell desktops are even more upgradeable, offering more easily expandable memory and processors. Their series of Dell video cards offer simple plug-and-play installation. Dell desktop computers find their way into offices and homes alike, allowing for varying levels of storage and processing power to match nearly anybody's needs. Dell servers offer a variety of rack-mounted options for businesses and advanced users alike. The whole range of options Dell has to offer makes it easier for buyers to find the exact machine that will fit the tasks they need to perform.

    • It's Not Brand New

The price was pretty good for a Windows XP Pro machine and it was a replacement for a system gone terribly wrong. One can't go to wrong buying a Dell.

    • Mediocre Product

The computer functions Ok. I was dissapointed in the fact that it did not have Office installed, I thought that was fairly standard, maybe I'm wrong. The roller mouse was broken upon reciept, it was a cheap one anyway, and I had my own optical mouse, so that wasn't to big of a deal. The keyboard is bare bones but works. The computer itself has been solid and seems fine for basic applications. The easy open cabinet design makes it easy for upgrades such as more memory or extra drives. Overall it is a pretty average computer. By the time I install Office and more memory I could have probably gone with a new tower.
