This was a clean refurbish. It looks almost new, and performs like new. The only issue was the 6-cell battery would no longer hold a charge within the first month of use, and started causing some issues. I was not concerned as I had planned to replace it with a 9-cell battery anyway. It attaches and works well with the EPort extention. This was certainly a quality refurbished unit.
If i didn't have it i wouldn't be writing you! Furthermore, i actually mistakenly bought this same computer twice (long story): the first time through Dell Manufacturing itself. Their customer service department was impossible to reach. I am thrilled with the present customer relations team. The first computer (From Dell Mnf) had not even 1/2 the memory that this one has, but it cost twice what i paid for this one. The battery is burnt out, but i gather this is not a covered refurbishable item (correct me if i'm wrong: the furnished phone number has not produced results for me). However, this is not an overly expensive item. All in all I'm thrilled with my new laptop!
I purchased one computer from Overstock, the E4310 and it arrived and would not even boot up. Overstock replaced that computer with this one, the E6410. It worked for a few days and then told me I would need to activate windows because the product key was invalid. This basically means the version of widows installed on my computer is NOT a new valid version and has been used before. So, overstock told me there was nothing they could do and told me I would have to contact microsoft. I contacted microsoft and they told me that that the only way to get a new valid product key was to purchase a new version of windows 7. So in a nutshell, I have a worthless computer that I can't use unless I pay for a full version of windows that I can then use the product key for. On top of that, the network adapter stopped working and I can only use the internet if I connect it to the wall. VERY disappointed with the products and the brush-off I received from Overstock. They were the ones that installed the software and operating system on this refurbished computer so they have to be aware that this installed version is not valid. I will be telling as many people as I can about this disappointing situation.
My husband's last laptop is about 7 years old and it gave up the ghost. This one is so fast and he loves it! Case was pretty scratched up but was a lovely blue color. The first one shipped had a damaged pixelation on the screen and was a bigger screen, this one is much smaller on the screen but seems to be working fine with no damage.
