I purchased a refurbished laptop computer for my wife because its operating system was Windows XP Pro and because it was a Dell. We are familiar with Dell and with Windows XP. The machine is everything we had hoped it would be. My only disappointment was in the shipping process. I was given a UPS Tracking # that I was told didn't exist. It did, in fact exist; the unit was not shipped out when I was told it had been shipped. It did arrive promptly after it had, in fact, left the company.

This was a very good laptop, clean, with all that was detailed on the web page. I have been purchasing computer equipment from Overstock for many years and this is why I keep coming back.

I love my laptop its fast and just what I need. It is easy to navgate,and the screen is big.

I can't believe how long it is taking to get this laptop. I paid extra to have it sent fast. So far it will notbe possible to get it by the outside time in the timeline.

This laptop was purchased to be a personal back up for use at home. It is great for the money. Not top of the line, but it is good for the money.

I first tried Overstock because I was looking for a laptop that Windows XP installed. All the newer ones have Windows 7 which I do not like. This laptop is my second one. The first one I purchased several months before and am quite happy with. This second one I purchased as a gift for my wife. When I called to order, I was told they were out of stock and they would E-mail me when they had more. Fine. in a couple of weeks I was notified that there was one in stock and I could order it. This laptop seems to work just fine. I needed an XP operating system. The battery threw up warning signs that it was on its last legs. I reported this by email and was EXTREMELY PLEASED with how quickly a replacement battery arrived. I installed it and it seems to be working just fine. I also reported that I needed a MANUAL because I didn't know what some of the buttons were for. I was told that they would ship one along with the replacement battery. It did not arrive. A second email informed me that laptops did not come with Manuals. They gave me a website link where I was able to download and prints a 147 page PDF Manual. A bit of a nuisance, but otherwise okay. CUSTOMER CARE DESERVES BIG KUDOS!

I got this for my husband to replace a Dell Inspiron he really liked. The Latitude seems to be an even nicer laptop and he's very happy with it. Good deal and it came quickly.

We needed a laptop for our employee to use from home and this fit the bill. It is not lightweight and probably wouldn't work for someone who wants to carry it with them, but the screen is large and the speed is fine for our application.

Excellent refurb., EXACTLY as described, an only minor light scratches on the case.

Product was as described and has worked well so far. One initial problem I had was that it was advertized with a 120GB hard drive and it came with a n 80GB one. After calling customer service they sent me a replacement 120GB disk which was easily fitted and I returned the 80GB one. The only problem I have found is that when I try to run some maintenance products (eg Spinrite 6.0) it indicates an error with the disk geometry and will not run. This occurred on both the 80GB and 120GB disks. But for normal operations it seems to function OK.

Overstock customer support is outstanding. The defective computer was replaced without question and I had a replacement in a few days.

The battery arrived DOA, but the D830 was in good shape overall. heavy dirt on the cpu fan blades that contributes to the higher than normal fan noise. Hard drive was a 5400 rpm refurb. Replaced the memory with 4 gig, dual channel. Replaced the hard drive with a new 7200 rpm 500g travelstar. installed win 7 without issues even though Dell doesn't provide drivers for win 7. Replaced the battery with an OEM version. The laptop works great now. true cost of this venture, $500 out of pocket, but I now have a business class laptop for a quarter of the price.

I loved this laptop so much. Very quiet operation, good speed at computing. Very suited for my home-office usage.
