Very impressed for the money
This laptop is very nice and works great. It came with very limited software, other than the OS and backup recovery software which was pre-installed. That means that I didn't get a lot of "junk" software I had to remove, but I did have to find my own software for the CD-RW and DVD-ROM, etc. Two years ago, I bught this same model from Dell Outlet for about half the retail price. This laptop from Overstock cost about half of THAT one (about 25% of the original price). Because the price was so low, the other software that I added was affordable. If you're looking for a laptop that you can completely customize with the software YOU want, this may just be the right one for you. It definitely was for me.

Overstock sent me a broken computer.
I ordered this laptop as a birthday gift for my son. Can you imagine his disappointment when the machine arrived broken? Would not start up past a black screen and an error message. I will not order from Overstock again. I even joined Club O, but of course, they don't refund that fee.
- How did the image on site compare with the actual product? Similar except all I could get was a black screen and error messages.
- Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? I have no idea. There was no operating system loaded.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Poor; unacceptable; disappointing.

Refurbished means refurbushed
Usually refurbished is a good thing. It usually means the manufatcturer really checked it to make sure all the functions work, ports are in good working condition, etc. This is of no fault to Overstock, but perhaps they should consider the vendor they are using. My refurbished laptop was heavily used before I got it. The wifi switch was broken and the driver had not been installed for the witfi card. I was able to fix it myself (voiding the warranty) but I had the know-how. If I were a normal average consumer, I would have had to send it back for another one that 'worked.' Also the USB ports were heavily used and connections are not tight.
