I ordered this laptop over the weekend and I had it in my hands by mid day on Wednesday!! Extremely fast shipment! The laptop was very well packaged and protected. As with most refurbs, the outer shell has a few very minor scratches on the outer shell but the screen looks great and still had the protective film on it, the laptop is certainly worth what I paid for!The operating system was very easy to activate and best of all, the laptop was NOT preloaded with junk software and this I am extremely appreciative!!! Thank you very much!

the dvd drive will not open, the software is so old that updating it is problematic, a lot of the hardware drivers not found. I'm not impressed. I can't tell if this was just reformatted or actually brought back to manufacturer specs, my understanding was that all parts are replaced on refurbished laptops...not the case obviously. All and all I'm disapointed. You can do better Dell!

This is an older computer, but once my son got it set up, it suited me fine. I dont do alot of complicated things on a computer. It is heavy, but functions well.

If you are looking for a inexpensive alternative or are slow to take to a new OS, then this refurb laptop is just for you. No bells and whistles just sound operating. Save yourself some money and find a refubished computer like this one.

Great computer - It was exactly what I needed. The only thing I missed was that it didn't have a webcam, but those are easy enough to buy separately. Would recommend it to anyone!

This is the First Laptop i've ever owned. I've had desktops but never my own laptop! i love it!

From my first boot attempt, the system would hit the windows logo and crash. The message would splash past so fast I couldn't read it. I finally videoed the message and was able to determine that XP had detected a hardware change and wouldn't boot. No indication what the hardware change was. The place that rebuilt it only offered submitting a text-only support request. I gave up and contacted Overstock for an RMA. Just after I did that I thought I'd try upgrading to Windows 7 (since there were no DELL OEM disks and my attempt to get them from Dell proved pointless. "14+ days before a determination would be made." Upgrading to Windows 7 helped, however after much investigation I discovered that the ethernet card was not seen by the system. I took the power cover off, reseated the card, and that worked. I doubt the guys who refurbished it are to blame, but it's damned frustrating to get a laptop and then have to work on it for a week before I get it running.

This refurbished laptop had two scratches on top and I used a skin to cover those. It is in excellent shape other than the small blemish. For the price verses a new one, I am thrilled.,

This laptop was exactly what I wanted. I needed a backup to my desktop, and a travel computer. I am getting ready to make a road trip, and I expect it to come in very handy to handle bill paying while I am on this trip. Everything worked when the unit arrived, and set up was easy. The only problem I encountered was one Microsoft update would not load properly so, I finally just skipped that one update. I am overall happy with my purchase.

i have the same laptop at work so i got use to it. received it in a timely fashion.was in great shape and easy to regester. only disappointment was it didn't have a wireless connection built in .happy with price.

I purchased this computer a little less than five months ago. It worked fine up until about 3 weeks ago. It is now displaying a split or double screen and it completely unusable. Although the product is refurbished, I still expected more than four months usage out of it. Total waste of money. I do not recommend at all; if you buy refurbished, you are stuck with it if it develops problems.

We can't get this laptop to operate without being "hard wired" connected to the Internet. This limits its use. We have wireless in the house. This is extremely frustrating.
