I understand that I purchased a "refurbished" laptop, but I would expect that everything should work on it. After opening the laptop it would not start unless plugged in. After 3 hours of charging, battery wouldn't hold more than a 6% charge. Touchpad did not work. Most keys on the keyboard had stickers that were crooked and some were already peeling off the keys. I had to plug in a mouse to try to navigate through re-loading Windows 7 (which was supposed to be on computer). After numerous error messages about loading Windows I found out that the version of Windows 7 I was supplied with was not "genuine" and therefore no updates could be performed. Needless to say the laptop needs additional refurbishing and I am returning it along with the "fake" version of Windows 7 that was supplied. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS LAPTOP.
Purchased this computer for basic computing needs requiring an optical drive and Windows (my other devices are Apple/Mac) and to run a small laser engraving machine. Case looks great- clean and damage free- looks new. Comes with Windows 7 (which includes media player- 10 does not). OS is installed on a partition, so no hard copy. I was actually sent a D630 with a larger hard drive than specified, so bonus for me! Ethernet/Wifi ready. Plan on spending a little time updating a few things, and you might want to purchase a separate antivirus/security program, as Microsoft has stopped updating the protocols for Windows 7. These are refurbished corporate laptops, so the case is heavier but more durable aluminum and comes with a lid lock and a few other corporate features, which are nice. It's not a brand new top of the line laptop, but that's not what I was looking for. I was looking for functionality, good price, fast delivery, and a good product. That is exactly what I received.
