Needed a computer that was reliable to get the kids off my computer. Was familiar with this model of Dell and had some parts from the fried older model that helped add to the memory. (probably not necessary as it worked straight out of the box.). Don't think you will find a better deal with a warranty anywhere.
computor is working fine at this point, I didn't have any problems setting it up.. easy setup........ and I really like the disk being sent in with it.
I love my dell 4550 it is great with a ati graphics card, 120 gb hard drive, a cd drive in the top and a dvd rw/ cd rw. When I 1st got it it was xp home (xp home is bad) then it crashed after a while, so I got a friend to bring gataway disks and restore it. After awhile it crashed again so i had linux on it. Then I was able to find xp pro disks and put that in. And I was also able to get xp media center 2005. Its a great computer (and fast with 256 mb ram) with xp pro and media center 2005.
