Customer Reviews
Dear Overstock.com, I am very pleased with the purchase of my refurbished computer. I have now successfully put it into service, transferred important files, and it is working beautifully. Thank you so much for your swift and courteous service; and the price was right!

This computer was good purchase as it did include a CD copy of Windows XP Pro. The unit was in good condition except for a scratch received in shipping. Hard drive a little small for serious use but easily replaceable. The unit also has a PCI-e slot to add a video card if needed. A good deal on a PC that still runs XP Pro since I have several things including printer software that runs better under XP than Vista

I wanted an Inexpensive computer with Win XP operating system and that is pretty much what I got. However I was not expecting all the Problems I got with it. When received it I had to open up the case and lock in the Memory to get it to boot. Then when I went to plug in the PS2 mouse and keyboard that came with it There were ZERO PS2 ports to connect them. Additionally The computer did not come with a manual or a back up drive or back up disks. (Not quite my Idea of Refurbished based on what Overstock calls Refurbished).. I was however very satisfied with The technical support I got on this issue. And received everything from Overstock.Com to get me up and running. I really wanted this XP computer so I would have a computer to run my older hardware that was not supported by Vista. The Technician on this instance took excellent care of me and I received everything I needed for this problem. Then However I had a Problem with all the USB Plugs on this machine that had worked originally NOT WORKING WITH ANY MASS STORAGE DEVICE. I called back to a different Technician and was offered little to no help on this situation. So after Hours and Hours of research on this common Problem (as I found out) with Windows XP. I stumbled on my answer. It was the Enhanced USB Controller that was over tasked by my Camera and it had to be disabled or the Camera needed to be Unplugged. I don't really use the camera anyway so I just leave it disconnected and don't get all the other error boxes and codes associated with disabling the Controller. The computer is running pretty good now and I even though I had to do a lot on my own I am satisfied with the computer filling the need I had for it.

What you see is what you'll get. Even if it says the software is included, don't count on it ... I was supposed to get a restore disc with this unit, but alas, I did not. Still I'm happy with the purchase, the machine itself is exactly what was promised less the damaged keyboard, I have too many keyboards around the house now - I just threw it away but kept the optical rat. I'm 100% wireless and every time I use my flash drive, the puter loses the connection and I have to reboot to get it back. This may be my Belkin wireless adapter, I just don't know for sure. Otherwise the machine has been excellent.

althought i had fairly good luck with the first refurbished computer (it had to have the mother board replaced by dell)i bought. a second and not so much.i don't think most people know to transfer your computers warrenty to the new buyer. second, service contract may be still in effect or not. i was lucky that the first computer came with all the operating disk neccesary if the system had to be reinstalled. the second did not. on the computer above nothing came with it except the tower ,mouse, ket board, and a virus! i had to have dell send a new operating system disk and overall THEY were very helpfull . still they both were good deals if you have the pateints to work on fixing the tweeks out of them
