Excellent monitor for the price. It performs well. I used it as a second monitor for a business computer. I was surprised to find one this cheep.

While this monitor does offer a great non-glare screen, I do find several plusses for this monitor. First it fir the desk well, secind, the non-glare screen it great. On the minus side, it did arrive with an attached speaker box. However, it did not have a power supply for the speakers, and no mention on what power supply would be needed. I opted to use my old spaekers and they work fine with the new computer. The video cable that came with the monitor did have several bent pins that required repairs prior to use.

I received it promptly, it was not in the original box which is ok. I hooked it up and at first it did not light up the screen even though the green light on the switch was on. I turned it upside down to look at connections and it came alive. The cable was not fastened tight enough, It happened once again, It seems to be a cable connection problem. My wife wanted a large screen and this was perfect for the desk. Screen resolution is great, would buy it again.

Purchased this for a friend and she just loves it! It took us awhile to figure out how to raise the monitor up and down, because, since this was a "refurbshied" item, there was no user manual or instructions included. However, this is way better than the old 2-ton monitor she used to have, and the resolution is fantastic. You can't beat it for the price. Overstock Rocks!

Plusses: The monitor itself works great. the casing/frame is in really good condition, can't tell it's a refurbished model. The screen is very clear and bright. Arrived in under 2 weeks. Easy to set up.Minuses: NO SPEAKERS !! I didn't know this. Once I got it and was a little annoyed I went back to look at how Overstock lists the product. On all of the various 17" monitors that they listed there was no mention of speakers, yet by looking at customer reviews some models did indeed have built ins. Since there was no specific model number I had not been able to look at Dell's website to see any more info than Overstock provided. Luckily I did have old computer speakers in my garage, but they are bulky and sort of defeats the purpose of a nice slim flat screen monitor! Apparently there is a "speaker bar" that you can buy to attach to the monitor, but they run upwards of $65.Also, according to the Manufactured Date on the back the one I received was made in February 2006. I have bought refurbished items before (both in general and from Overstock) and have never received a 3 year old model!! I did purchase a 2 year protection plan, but am still concerned, since the monitor I was replacing died after 2 years and this one is already 3 years old.

The monitor screen itself is in great shape. The casing however is definately worn. There are a couple of huge dents ( half dollar size) that were quickly painted over, very noticeable as well as a handful of very deep 2-4 inch scratches. So if you don't mind appearance of the casing/frame and are interested only in the functionality of the screen, it is not a bad item.

This is an excellent monitor and the price was assume. I can now see much without my glasses that I could barely see with them on before and the colors are amazing. A real best buy if there ever was one. Rod

Just got mine today. It will not display any reds, which come out as greys. Tried to calibrate it with an X-Rite Display 2, does not work. Researching cable issues or return options.

I wasn't too sure about buying a refurbished product but when I opened the box I was pleasantly surprised. Looks like new, the color is beautiful, not a mark on it. For the price I paid I am extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend this product to anyone looking to upgrade.

I bought this monitor to go with a new CPU I purchased for my grandson. I was delivered in record time. I couldn't believe it was here so soon. It is beautiful. This is my first LCD. Works beautiful and is height adjustable. A bonus I was not aware of. The pedestle design is differect than pictured. I like it better. Thanks again, Overstock. You are unbeatable!.

My monitor came a day early, so yay! The appearance is quite nice & sophisticated. The screen size is excellent for PC gamers & watching movies. It had no dead pixels which is great. It was probably a store display and had a small scratch the was underneath & completely out of view(I only found it 'cause i was looking for it :p). Great buy, I only wish I waited a little... the price dropped $17 a week after I bought it...Grrr! But still happy with my OVS.com purchase.

I had been using an big fat monitor, when I received my Dell Flat monitor.....WOW!!!! I thought my eyes were the problem...it was the old fashioned monitor! I love, love, love my Dell Flat monitor......so clear, I can actually read all the words, and see clear pictures, and watching movies is wonderful now.
