This is more of just a mic than a headset. The volume level of the single-ear headphone cannot get very high, and the quality of the sound is nothing to write home about. However, the microphone is solid, and is hard to beat at this low price. I used one of these heavily for three years before the mic stopped working. Most people own a nice pair of headphones nowadays - I'd suggest using those (plugged into/wirelessly paired with TV) for gaming. You can easily change a setting on your PS3 so that the output audio comes through your TV, and not the single-ear headphone of the headset. The wire isn't excessively long, so you may need to move your PS3 away from your TV if your TV is quite large.

the cord is very short so expect to be close to the tv to use with your ps3. it was just a regular headset with an adaptor to use with the ps3. if i would have known that i would have just bought the adaptor for a few bucks and I already have too many headsets

The headset fell apart after 2 days of using it. The mouth piece just fell off. It was hard to hear through even with the volume turned all the way up. EXTREMELY limited instructions sent. Also the cord is very short & you have to sit right up on the TV to play.

This did NOT work at all. The only thing that could be heard was fuzz. You could now be understood by people your trying to communicate to either. When I received my package it was damaged too. Don't buy, pay a little more for better quality
