It came within two days, looks like new. Set up immediately with great ease. Easy to hook up. Works great, picture looks wonderful.

I didn't know refurbished meant beat up and broken. If I had known that I would not have bought it. It is a nice product but not in the condition I received it. It works for movies and recording. That is about all I have good to say about it.

I HAVE HAD 2 RCA 8250N FOR ABOUT A YEAR HOOKED UP TO BRIGHTHOUSE HIDEF CABLE. I RECORD HD 720P OR 1080I BY SELECTING AV1 IN THE TIMER PROGRAM MODE. THE ONLY TROUBLE I'VE HAD IS SOMETIMES THE PICTURE HANG UP ON PLAYBACK. TURNING OFF AND ON CURES IT MOST TIME, IF NOT I UNPLUG IT AND THAT CURES THE PROBLEM. JUST REMEMBER TO RESET THE TIME AS IT IS NOT AUTOMATIC. UNLIKE MANY OTHER RECORDER I HAVE HAD (CYBERHOME,LITEON,ETC) NO TROUBLE WITH DIFFERENT BRAND RW+ DISC

I
have not tried to record on the unit . I have had problems setting the
date and time. It takes too long and the manual doesn't give enough
information.
The picture and sound quality are great.
