  I purchased this player to replace an aging 7-8 year old player that was stumbling heavily on slightly scratched discs. This player just works and plays even these same slightly scratched discs with no problem. As regards my reason for purchasing, it was just what I wanted and does not stumble badly on scratches. The fast forward jumps from X2 to X8 with no intermediate step, but this is a really minor criticism and I have adapted to its operation. For the money, I am very pleased with this purchase and will likely choose Toshiba again. The player is quite small compared to older players.

  I use this tv a lot, it is really handy. This is actually my second one. When I am busy, it's great to have a tv mounted under the cabinet since I don't want to go back and forth to another room to watch a show. I have a small kitchen, so this is excellent.

  This is a very noce DVD/CD player for the price. I worry about losing the remote as there are no controls on the unit itself except eject, play and stop. No way to get into the menu, rewind, fast forward etc. For an inexpensive DVD/CD player it works fine. Only had it for a few weeks... hope it holds up.

  Bought this for a Christmas present for my 74 year old mother. She was delighted. I set up the player for her. It was almost ready out of the box. We needed to purchase a switch box, she has an old tv. The remote is easy to see and the whole system is easy to operate. The quality was great!! It was a steal!! It came quickly and was packaged nicely. Very happy with my purchase. I used Overstock Club points to buy, less than $$$.
