  The CD?DVD drive on my computer had stopped working probperly. I am not ready to purchase another computer but I could not load software without a working drive. Overstock to the rescue! Now I have an external drive that I can also use if I purchase one of thos trimmed down notebooks without a drive. Installed very easily.

  So far so good!!!! Works flawlessly for the past week, but 1 thing that is retarded about it is the software that comes with it. The first time I went to make a DVD the software wanted me to buy the "full" version. I figured out my way around it and now I've been a DVD making machine :)

  I ordered the drive to burn pic's from my computer to a DVD. When it arrived it was supposed to be new. The box had clearly been opened, and the unit had a little wear on it. I needed to get the project done ASAP, otherwise I would have returned it. With no clear understanding of the process and the directions unclear, in my opinion, it took me at least 8 hours to figure it out over the course of 2 days. I finally got it done, with music as well, and am happy with the end result. I don't know what else it can do though, and frankly I'm a little intimidated to try! I would not consider this an easy to use unit unless you're tech savvy. I wished I'd have gone with the Roxio.
