hfhinwa from West-coast, WA, Rating:5.0With so many choices in the headphone market available, something must set this pair apart as a good purchase. I would say that the ATH-A700X is consistently without disappointment. They embrace the reproduction of music. The music sounds as it should with deficits forgiven. The soundstage is wide enough to satisfy most listeners. Depth is fine. The mids are a little recessed. The bass is there and refined, but not boomy. This isn't a bassheads can. While listening to the Tony Bennett duets, the setting was intimate enough to draw me into the music. These phones are never "in your face" or dominating of the music. Overall, I find myself reaching for them quite often when wanting to just enjoy a comfortable listening session. The 3D Wing Support takes a bit of getting used to, and if you have a narrow head (ear to ear) they may not be a choice that will satisfy. It's not an issue for me. I like these headphones... Well done Audio Technica!

williampc from Newmarket, Ontario, Rating:4.0Before purchasing we asked if these headphones would bridge 3.5" ears to prevent pressure on hearing aids, and was assured they would. When arrived this proved false. However, the cushioning is soft, so they do generate less discomfort that earlier headphones, and the sound quality is good. It also helps to have the wiring emerging from only one side of the headphones.

tnrich from Knoxville, TN, Rating:4.0This is a very good buy at the price point. I have been looking at Bluetooth headphones for some time, but keep going back to the ones costing $400 to $500 as I wanted to be able to use them wired also. I was surprised when I found these for about $50 on Overstock. I use the headphones to watch movies with my iPad or TV/DVD Player through an A/V receiver via an inexpensive Bluetooth transmitter attached to the headphone jack. The sound quality is good and I don't disturb my wife. The only reason I rated the 4 stars instead of 5 is that they are not noise canceling. This only becomes a problem if I am watching a movie with others who are not wearing headphones. In that case, I do hear the speaker sound with a small delay time offset. I would recommend these headphones without hesitation.
