Now that Directv offers mult-room DVR, if you have a home network this is a great alternative to the HD-DVR. I think the improved picture of the H23 / HR23 is noticeable.

Better value than buying it direct from Direct-tv. Will probably buy another in the future.

I had no problem attaching the cables and it was nice that the HDMI cable was included. The picture is awesome, You will not be disappointed with this blu-ray player.

I bought this receiver thinking that: 1. I was purchasing this receiver and that I owned it when I paid for it. When I called DirecTv they informed me that I did not own it and once I activated the box it would be a lease. 2. To even activate this box you have to agree to a 2 year contract extension. I bought one box activated it and was not told about this until I bought the second box, then they decided to tell me about it. 3. None of the information for this item lets you know these LARGE issues. Just be aware that when you do purchase this box you will be entering into the above mentioned contract agreements.

Brand new in box with SIM card shipped from their warehouse in California so it only took a day to get to me. The one detail they left out of the description was that this is a LEASED unit so you don't actually own it. When you activate it with DirecTV you also have to extend your contract by 2 years and agree to return the unit to DirecTV iif you ever disconnect your service.

Came with HDMI cable and access card. Activated with no problems. Was a few bucks cheaper than other stores online for this product.

Brought the Friday before Christmas, was delivered the Tuesday before Christmas. Easy install and operations. If I need another one, I will get it from Overstock. A great buy!
