This is not just for XM radio. I use it to listen to my ipod in my car. I have purchased other products but the quality is not as good a the XM cassette adapter. I purchased 4 because, that really work great.

Who knew you could completely transform your old car stereo system with a simple solution like this. The old 10 speaker system is already excellent so this is like having a new iPod player. Amazing.

I got this because the radio-tuner ones are NOT easy to get a good reception. I drive a 2004 4Runner and the sound is great! It's best when I put my iphone4 on about 80% volume and just raise the volume on my car speakers the rest of the way. Somehow that cuts out all static and noise. I use this daily, and so does my roommate since I was able to give her the second tape adapter! I definitely think this is the way to go if you would love to listen to your iphone/ipod in the car.

one adapter failed to work after about 6 hours - the other adapter continues to work after about 4 hours since the first one failed.

Great quality product to use if you have a decent older soundsystem with a cassette player and w/o mp3 connections. Good playback quality, and I would recommend this product highly.

Are you looking at FM transmitters, but find them either: 1) too expensive 2) too complicated to operate 3) noisy with radio frequency interference 4) volume is too low Well, then this may be the solution for you if you have a cassette player in your vehicle. Just plug it into the earphone jack of your iPod/MP3 player, and play the cassette. It's that simple! Con: Like any cassette, should hand with care.
