This product did not work at all. I followed the simple instructions exatcly, but it never came on. I didn't bother returning it because it was so cheap; I didn't want to spend the itme. My recommendation -- DON'T BUY THIS.

I wanted to like this product, as I need it to protect myself from "hearsay" and false accusations from neighbors. Unfortunately, this unit does not have color coded buttons like a REAL car remote, or separate video vs. camera buttons, or start vs. stop for video. The instructions are written in the WORSE English I have ever seen (a throwback from the 1980's). The construction is sturdy but my unit is missing the green camera eye lens featured (which may explain why I had no footage) and I could not figure out how to change the year from 2064 to 2012. The smaller instruction manual has color coded buttons, but this does not. I have to return it. Maybe Overstock will text the next one BEFORE they send it to me.

• How did the image on site compare with the actual product? Awful! The Camera eye is smaller than a pinhead and there is a slot next to the USB, that does not appear on the actual unit.
• Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? No, the picture and the item (Camera eye) is defective. All I record is sound and blackness, no visual at all
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. This product needs color coded buttons LIKE a real car remote, to separate O/I, video vs. camera, stop and start bottons

This is the first system i bought.Is great.I tested it out of the box to be sure it will work and had it working in about 7 minutes.Set up was easy.
