Noise canceling earphones
from Boonsboro, MD,  Aug 13, 2009

As usual the product arrived quickly and in good condition. The earphones are easily adjusted for comfort and the sound quality is good even without the system on. When turned on the sound quality is even better and the battery works for a long time. I use them solely for audiobook listening while I work around the house and yard. I particularly wanted them to use for listening while my husband is watching TV and find that they do not cancel TV noise enough (my spouse is hard of hearing!) for me to listen in the same room. I would still recommend them.

Playback
 from Colo,  Jul 30, 2009

I bought this product because I know about the Creative brand name & that good products are produced. The sound quality is very good for my gaming applications & I have not tried the headphones on my MP3 player yet but I imagine the sound will be of high quality. The only option that I would have wanted is a separate volume control on the headphone cord.DH

Very decent product for the price

First off, you will probably need a device that will take advantage of the Creative HN-605's. With this said, my new Creative ZEN MP3 player, depending on which song I select, is "adequate" enough to make these headphones should good enough. However, connecting the HN-605's to my computer, and oh boy, it sounds awesome! - - I've read over 20 different reviews on various websites and the common complaint is that the sound quality isn't all that. I beg to differ. What is the point of buying noise cancelling headphones if you don't activate this feature? They're complaining about the sound when you don't enable the "noise-cancelling" feature. In my opinion, this feature is a battery assisted "sound boosting" feature but it's known as Noise Cancelling. I say "sound boosting" because that is what the feature does, it boost the "normal" low quality sound of the headphone into something that is crisp and clear. The headphone is comfortable enough to wear for some time, however, if you're using them for working out (like I did this afternoon), well, that's another story as the HN-605's sit on top of your ear, not in or over, but on your ear, so when you're sweating, the pleather-wrapped sponge surrounding the speaker is going to get wet. If you don't enable the "noise-cancelling" switch, then the headphones will sound sub-par. Use the feature; that's why you bought a "noise-cancelling" headphone. - - I sought new headphones because I was disappointed with the earbuds that came with the Creative ZEN; they would not stay in my ear when I work out. The HN-605's stay on just fine now, however, they do tend to fall off when I do crunches, but that was probably because I was all sweaty and they started to slip off my head. I would recommend these headphones to anyone looking to buy an inexpensive headphone that not only folds to a compact size, but also has sound boosting capabilities. So far, I haven't found any faults with the HN-605. It was an excellent buy.
