Cordless Phone Battery for Uniden BT-446

Great replacement battery for my Uniden cordless phone model# DCT6485. It is a direct replacement for battery model# BT-446 and as I have learned, those replacements are not always created equal. The one I bought prior to this from Smartbatts (Sm44600) was absolute garbage and lasted less than a year. The cord to connect it inside the battery compartment was too long and got snagged in cover when closing, making for an awkward fit. This one form Overstock.com was a perfect fit and delivered everything I expected (more than fair price, extremely reasonable shipping). A great product at an awesome price! Very happy.

• Please tell us about the quality of the product. Great quality. I've ordered replacements before for my phone and the power cord has been abnormally long, leaving it prone to pinching in the battery tray cover while sliding it closed..

Works out of the box, but of course, you don't know for sure until you see how long the battery lasts in actual use. I've had these give out after 6 months, although over a year is more typical. After getting this, it seems that PC Richards might also carry this item at a higher price, but not that much higher; Plus they will take back the old battery and dispose of it properly; don't forget to always dispose of these batteries by dropping off at an electronics stores !

Hard to review a phone battery after only a couple of weeks - that's why its only 4 stars not 5. It came partially charged, fit into the phone perfectly and, at least so far, holding its charge better then the ones it replaced. Only time will tell how well it really will perform. Good price. Worth a shot.
