Very hard to get used to the annoying knocking noise. Bought a couple of refurbished Dell computers from Overstock that were lower priced and neither of them made noise. I read a few reviews that also mentioned the noise but chose to buy it anyway. Too much trouble to return it now that I have customized it for my needs and, to be completely fair, it is performing well.

Purchased this on 11/19/2014...received on 11/28/2014 The computer itself Win 7 64bit is great so far...but cannot in clear conscience give a rave review at this time, only 3 days of use. (3 Stars is only based on faulty DVD Drive) Set-up was easy and it seemed to respond perfectly. Made a back-up copy and turned it off. Turned on same day and the DVD/-RW refused to open. Would not open manually or with a, computer (mouse) prompt to eject, to open or to format just kept getting !!BOINK!! error or insert disk (error) or there is no disk (true) DUH!! etc. just a steady green light and some weird noises (but they stopped.) my friend said...but I cannot confirm a very used (old) internal DVD drive, not making any allegation's. but come on. He said usually when a drive refuses to open and the light stays on it means it's time to replace,(or missing firmware) also said most drives are good for 300 to 400 burns after that get a new drive mentioned you can buy one for very little and ...

  • Computer Like New!

    mrsgame  from Chicago, IL, Rating:5.0

Purchased this desktop as a replacement plus the issue with the no more updates for Windows XP. I did not want Windows 8. The computer is practically new. Came with Windows 7 Professional already installed along with a mouse, cord and keyboard. So far so good. Runs very fast. I save several files such as my music, pictures, documents, etc. from my old computer on an external drive and copied them to this computer. I am more than pleased with this computer.

If You Love Animals Then Stop Eating Them  from East Hartford,CT, Rating:5.0

Pleased on so many different levels. A solid state drive is a must have nowadays to take advantage of the speed of connections and give the computer excellent durability. Purchased because was going back to school at an online college and it fulfills every need I have. I was a bit scared by the 128 SSD not being big enough, but after several months have only used under 45GB. Nowhere can you find a SSD, Intel i5, and Win7 at this price!!!! WHAT A FIND!

Unbeatable value. Why pay full retail price for a computer when a re-conditioned machine works just as well? I've ordered nearly twenty refurbished PC's from Overstock for our corporate network and have never had an issue.
