Klipsch speakers are famous for "fidelity" meaning a piano sounds like a piano; a trumpet sounds like a trumpet, Willie Nelson sounds like he's singing in your ear, and jazz musicians sound like they are playing in a particular room. I bought these to hear instruments and voices clearly with a sense of performance space. But then I played my ultimate test CD, and these Klipsch speakers gave out the music as I had never heard it before, as if I were in that concert audience ready to cheer with them at the end of a number. These Klipsch speakers aren't the newest models, aren't the top of the Klipsch line, aren't expensive and don't have a base unit -- don't need a bass unit. There are jacks for earbuds or headphones to keep the sound private. Amazing performance.
