I work on a MacPro and I had two external G-Drive Q's 1TB each. Unfortunately, the electronics within the external cases failed on both drives over time and I was looking for the best way to reconstitute the SATA drives back into my system. My MacPro was already maxed out with four other SATA drives internally installed. After reviewing different products on the internet, I found that the Icy Dock best fit my needs. It was easy to install and allows for four drives to run simultaneously, including those already running internally on my MacPro. Overall, a great unit. Great for the beginning tech, and a load off for the advanced user.
I purchased this product, because not only of quality but for it trayless ability. It also is capable of hot-swap, and without to many bells and whistles like some that there really is no need for.
It was my first dealing with overstock, but it definateley won't be the last. I must have double clicked on part of the order and got got six of one part instead of three. It was resolved very quickly and was sent return labels. Good job! Thanks Again Tony
I was a bit skeptical buying a used server from a 3rd party reseller but the product performed excellent and was in excellent shape when we received it. Value for the price is unbeatable.
This item was listed for $$$ lees for several days and then it magically changed to $$$ more. When I asked if they could accept the previous price they said no they would not consider it and I was out of luck since I did not buy the systems when the web site showed the lower price. Bottom line I bought these because they were still a good deal but I will most likely not buy from them again.
