Came with a dead pixel on the screen of the main unit.Read More
This is a great dvd player for the car or home. It was easy to plug and simply go. Came with multiple cords, the car cord is a bit long but that would be good for vans or add additional screens. Great value and my kids love it!Read More
I bought this before we went on a 10 hour trip to Myrtle Beach. The double screens are really nice, they have great picture quality. The sound is really good too. We had so much trouble hearing our last dvd player, so we were thrilled that this one was very loud. They have a long cord, and were super easy to install. This is a great value for the money.Read More
This dual screen portable DVD player is exactly what we needed for our twins. We put in a DVD in the car or on the plane and it's instant quiet. It's super easy to carry and they included everything you could possibly need for travel and home use.Read More
So we have two children whom are 2 1/2 and 16 months. Car trips lasting more than half an hour become stressful for everyone. I have compared this model to other name brand models of comparable features and chose this one for having the fewest negative reviews and less desirable specs. This model works great!. It does not skip while driving. Both DVD screens have speakers which another model of another manufacturer did not - and they work great - we usually have to turn them down at some point. The DVD player and additional screen have cable ports on the inside -side of each screen so wires do not cross one screen or tether across the car. Picture clarity is great!Read More
Ordered this item for our long car rides to the grandparents's houses. It does have good sound quality and picture quality. The main unit has battery back-up which is nice. Remote control is nice to have when in the Hotel, easy hook up to hotel TV's. When received and on first trip out, found out main adaptor that powers both units and feeds the video from one unit to the 2nd unit, did not power up the secondary unit. I had to use an extension cord, and the plug adaptor that plugs in a wall. Good thing we had a three prong 12v car adaptor. The adaptor plug to the secondary unit was just a hair too big and couldn't make a steady contact. Well I contacted Coby and they said a batch of these dual DVD players ended up with the wrong adaptor in it. They sent me a new one at no charge and on our second road trip we were all happy. No extension cords and wires all over. Only reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 is because the cases that hold the dvd players could be more universal. We do not have head rests that move up and down. They are just molded into the seat so we had to improvise and use bungee cords to wrap around horizontally and weave it through the straps on the holders. Not a problem the rest is perfect. I would definately order these again great features and quality for the price.Read More
Good product for the price. I cannot get this quality with the cheap price somewhere else.Read More
I purchased this DVD player to use on road trips for my two children. Previous trips could get stressful very quick as the kids started to lose interest with riding in the car. This product helped wonderfully. Out of the box setup for the car was simple and quick. Simply strap the monitors to the headrests of your seats, plug in the input cables and power, and you're ready to go. Picture quality is good. Sound is good without headphones which was key for my kids since they are too young for headphones. Cables provided are more than long enough to reach all areas of a large vehicle (van or SUV). Only gripe (minor) is having to take the master player out of the headrest harness to change the DVD. Great product and great price from Overstock. Similar players on other sites were more money for the same features.Read More
We bought these just before going on a 1000+mile trip, and were so happy that they installed easily and worked right out of the box. Keeping in mind I haven't yet read the owners manual, the main unit appears to run on an internal battery and will operate without the vehicle running, however the secondary unit will only operate if the vehicle is on and the unit is plugged into a car port. That's the only negative I've found (if you can consider that being problematic). The sound is perfectly fine, and the picture is good. They work great for 3 boys when trying to distract them for some peaceful driving.Read More
bought the Coby dual monitor DVD player for a trip to Texas for my 10 and 7 year old. Used it once and it quit working. You had to hold the cable to get a connection and if you bumped it it would shut the monitors off and you'd have to start over. Not satisfied at all with this one!!Read More
