When I bought this there was a sale on. I couldn't believe I could get a phone nearly $*** cheaper than what I saw it at the various stores etc. I took a risk but knew Overstock would back it up. Phone has been great I have been using it for nearly a month with no issues. Upgraded my Galaxy S2 to this. T-Mobile didn't bat an eye and gave me a new sim required (it needs a nano sim) and all my contacts came over etc. Not sure I like the operating overlay - so I just keep deleting some of it. Havent cracked the cover to see if it is a genuine samsung battery yet. However... it DOES work with wireless charging! SCORE!

I was a little nervous about purchasing a refurbished phone, but it was as good as new.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 I purchased was a refurbish phone in fact it was my first. Although I had to return the first phone, they quickly send me another phone and it worked perfectly. Would purchase another in a minute. Thanks for great service and friendly customer service agents.

I bought this quite a while back and it works exactly as intended. Unlocked, used on T-Mobile. This is an AT&T world phone so be expecting AT&T details to crop up on it. The downside is it's only 3G, and because of the unlocked factor it's a slow 3G. Given how cheap new no-contract phones are now from T-Mobile, I wouldn't go this route again.

I bought this phone because I needed an unlocked GSM device for travel. My regular phone is a Galaxy S4, and I have to say, the smaller, cheaper mini is just as good as its big brother in most respects. Battery life is excellent (especially if you set it to airplane mode when you aren't using it), and it does everything I need it to do. I do wish there was an easier way to eliminate bloatware without rooting. As a refurb, it's fine. There were some marks around the charging port but the screen is perfect.

After several years of turning against the tide of brand new technology in the way of cell phones, I finally decided it was time to get a smartphone. I often use the internet on my tablet, but I have to be hooked to a wi-fi connection. I realized that I could either buy a hotspot and carry around the tablet AND the hotspot module OR buy a smartphone with internet capabilities. I did a lot of research and I knew I wanted to stick with Samsung because my tablet works very well with very little problems. I knew about the Samsung Galaxy phones and wanted to stick with the "S" series but I cannot afford a brand new phone. I also have a prepaid cell phone plan, so I didn't want to start a 2-year contract agreement. When I found this phone, I thought this was the best deal and I was right. Since it's refurbished, it has a few cosmetic dings on the plastic parts but it does not affect the usability of the phone. I LOVE the camera because I scan receipts for different apps and the phone has a flashlight which lights up the image and makes it VERY sharp and easy to read. Also, even though it's an older phone, it has the updated Android platform so all the apps work with it. I highly recommend this phone. But make sure you have a microSIM card to put in it. I have a regular sim card from my old phone and it is too large. I didn't know I needed a different kind when I bought it.

It used to be that if you bought a new cell phone, you were locked into a contract with a carrier like Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, or T-Mobile. Well, times have changed and you no longer need to enter a contract with a specific carrier if you don't want to. If you think you'd like the flexibility of changing carriers without changing your phone, an unlocked cell phone may be a good choice for you. Here are some frequently asked questions people have about unlocked cell phones and the terminology that goes along with them. Read More
