Just got this in today. I was sceptical, but pleasantly surprised. I switched from a Motorola Droid RAZR to this today and it was mostly effortless. Is it as good as a ***** phone? No Does it have a lot if memory? No Are there things I don't like? Yes The screen has poor viewing angles. The keyboard is a little small. Again, not a lot of RAM. The camera sucks. Not full HD. BUT I really like it. Love the color, which is more neon yellow than it looks on here. The speakers are loud and clear. It gets better reception than my RAZR. It has an FM radio. No bloatware. Pretty responsive. Nice packaging. It came with s case and screen protector. I'm pleased.

I've only had this phone for a little over a week. It looked like a brand new phone and came with the charger. I took the 2 year warranty just to be on the safe side should something happen to the phone. I do hope that this insurance does not have to be used and if it does, it is worth paying for it. My only issue with the S3 is that it seems to eat battery power pretty quickly. Keep your chargers close ladies and gentlemen. I estimate that I can get maybe a full day out of it without charging with the phone being on powersave mode. Buy an extra charging cable or portable charger to keep at work or on the go just in case.

  • Bluetooth does not synchronize with my automobile

It works fine but Bluetooth on the phone will not sync with my car which is a problem because I am trying to be hands free when using the phone. It really defeats the purpose.

I really super wanted to like this phone. I wasn't looking for anything fancy, just a decent little phone to take a few pics with and do basic calling and texting. I put in my sim card and SD card, but still have to empty my inbox after exactly 12 messages come in-REALLY ANNOYING AND INCONVENIENT. Does not receive MMS messages, my daughter says I need to change the APN, but you cannot do this because it is set to "automatic". It is not intuitive or user friendly in any way, and the "alt" button is shot after not even 2 weeks of light use. Gives you a choice of exactly 3 ringtones, and even when you record your own, it only sometimes will ring that tone, usually defaults to some pre set tone. Probably does not help that my phone was pre-set for Brazil. If you are looking for a throwaway phone, this one might do for you, but honestly my $** Samsung is a much better phone, and I pretty much hate it. Decided to make the leap to a smartphone, and if that one gets here before the return ti...

  • Great hearing aid compatibility

    Sep 16, 2014

    drkkdrkk  from Washington, USA, Rating:5.0

I was looking for a phone for voice and texting only (not a smartphone) and this fits the bill. Since it was a refurbished AT&T phone, the quality was decent as expected. Biggest plus is that this phone is very compatible with the telecoil in my Costco hearing aids--clear sound and no buzzing like the very similar Alcatel One Touch 838 I had when I was with GoSmart. Despite an HAC rating of M3/T3, it performs just as good as my former Samsung phone rated M4/T4. I switched the Telecoil setting to "Off" to extend battery life and it still works just as good...so what was the point of it having the Telecoil switch anyway? I moved the GoSmart SIM card from the Alcatel to this phone and it worked just fine. A SIM card from Consumer Cellular also worked fine in there. However, unlike the Alcatel, it doesn't have wi-fi built in.
