  • My phone freezes.

It's a decent phone. I'm wondering if the one I purchased was refurbished because it's constantly freezing. Other than that, I have no complaints.

  • Older model, solid build

The Conductor  from Upstate NY, Rating:4.0

This is an older model phone, with a now-nearly-obsolete version of android, a good slide-out keyboard, and solid build quality. The design strikes a nice balance between appearance (with some tasteful chrome accents and brightwork) and utilitarian features (a nicely functional keyboard and a D-pad so you don't have to smudge the screen all the time). The case is small in its outline (and screen concomitantly small), but thick, making it more at home in a front pocket than the back. Activating it requires creating a "Motoblur" cloud service account, for backing up data I suppose, but mostly it is just annoying. You will need a Wi-Fi (or mobile data) connection to do the activation. If you are on a tight budget and don't care about apps much (many games won't work on the old Android versions anymore, for example) and don't need the fastest data service, and prefer a real keyboard, and want something that won't fall apart in a few months, then this phone is a good choice for you.

  • It's a nice phone since I can't afford to replace

..my Samsung Note 3..It is about the same size, clear graphics, and (with some help getting a SIM in correctly) it works fine with straight talk. The camera works well but one can NOT set the size of the pictures. The instructions (which never show or point to the button they discuss pressing for various things) say you can change the size if you take the picture then hold all four corners at once and move your fingers smaller or larger. This seems to me close to impossible, but they thought it up so maybe someone could do it. The phone vibrates when certain buttons are pressed and I find no way to disable that. Otherwise, it seems to work well and the quality seems to be good. For the price, if you want a screen this size, it seems to fit the bill for me. The Note3 is a much more customizable phone for double the price, which is, perhaps, not worth it.

This is just like the phone my husband has had for several years. It is a replacement as the other one quit working. The price on O.com wasn't the best of all the places we checked, but the service through Overstock is usually good if there is a problem. My husband is delighted with the replacement. The phone arrived very quickly. We were impressed.

Everything you would want in a smartphone, but in a smaller package.
