  • Save up your money

    Apr 9, 2014

    errk309  from Illinois, Rating:1.0

Save up your money and buy a factory fresh unit. The refurbished unit I got first looks like it was snagged out of someones trunk. That someone who installed it was a dumbass and drilled screws thru the plastic bezels, the Lanzar logo moves around and only using it inside my house on a test bench emits a smell of something burning. The original remote gain knob and wires for the gain and strapping included with the amp were the wrong ones from Overstock. They did try and remedy this by sending me a "correct" knob and wire for it. But there are still issues with the remote gain control. When the correctly size wire and knob are used the amp's protect LED lights up but very dimly and makes my sub THUMP almost blowing it out. Ive been back and forth with lanzar's customer support and it seems now that I will have to mail it to them to get this problem fixed. If I dont use the remote gain knob the amp works well for the little bit of testing ive done, it only has about 10 hours of use ove...

    Nice radio but very basic

    Apr 17, 2014

I needed a basic radio for a wilderness camp which over the years saw many "donations" of old boom boxes, cassette and CD radios with knobs, buttons, sliders, etc. in various stages of functionality, mostly bad. It had to be AC and battery powered for use indoors and out so this looked promising. Out of the box it sounded "boomy", the speaker has good output but too much bass and no tone control available. I added some polyester sound fiber to the recesses behind the speaker (yes I took it apart) and this neutralized the boomy sound. Nice basic radio, 2 knobs and a handful of buttons so it's easy to operate. The battery compartment captured knob is nice as well as the hinged door. I dislike push buttons for volume or tuning so this works for me. The presets only give you 5 each of FM or AM. I wish it allowed more but like I said, basic radio. The charging feature is quirky, you have to set a switch in the battery compartment to "charge" (remove 2 batteries) insert chargeable batterie...

This holder is perfect. It will fit virtually any size cup holder. I have three of them in three different vehicles with three different size cup holders. It fits, holds rock-steady, and is fully adjustable for my iPhone 6 when I drive. I'm glad I found it.

  • Don't even consider it

    techtactoe  from Warrington, Pa, Rating:1.0

This receiver is poor quality and sounds like a transistor radio. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for any purpose. The knobs don't even turn nicely and which gives you a very cheap impression before you even turn it on. It doesn't even have a standby mode so you can shut it off with the remote. All around this unit is a piece of junk.
