When the radio blew in my 1998 jeep I had to seek other alternative for entertainment. I've been pricing these cassette adapters everywhere and almost bought it for $25 at Best Buy when one day I tried overstock and found it at a verrrry low price. I figured I had nothing to lose ...because it was so cheap. When the item arrived I plugged it in and was absolutely impressed with the sound and quality. Very easy to use, no static, no problem.

Like others, I purchased this because of the price, but moreso, because I have a car with no port for an iPod. I ordered 3 of these to cover all cars in the household. I excitedly went to the car this morning, unable to wait for the music to finally play through the car.... Every 10 seconds or so, the tape would make the clicking like it was flipping over, the music would skip, and then continue on for another 10 seconds. If they weren't so cheap, they'd all go back, but at this rate, if I can give them away to someone who can find any use for them, it'd be cheaper than paying to send them back!

It's super cheap and super easy to use, but the sound quality is so poor that my 4 year old son complained about it. Maybe if it's an audio book or something like that, this would be worth it, but if you're trying to listen to music, it gives you a headache.

I bought this adapter basically because it was cheap. I figured I'd give it a try... if it worked great, if not, no big deal, it was only a couple dollars. I plugged it into my car. I could hear my music at a low volume over a loud humming sound. I had to turn my radio all the way up just to hear that. It was really annoying. I just threw it away.The really annoying thing is that now the speakers in my house occasionally have a fuzzy sound. It could be a coincidence, but the timing is pretty weird. I plugged this cheap thing into my ipod and suddenly it has bad sound?

I absolutely love this cassette adapter. I couldn't live without it. It's the first thing I use wen I get in the car. I connect my ipod or my cell phone, and I'm ready to rock and roll... The only thing is this annoying buzz sound the tape makes wen the music is low. But for ppl with ipod... Go into itunes hit CRTL + A and edit the music in the volume adjuster music and the tape is so much more useful... Thanks overstock... I encouraged all my friends to check and see if overstock has what they need before they search anywhere else!!!!

So I've bought many brand name adapters and they tweaked, have static or sound muffled. They've cost double n lasted 1/2 the time. I ordered my car adapter for I-Pod at Overstock.com, waited oh, about 4-5 days, and I couldn't believe my ears!! Easy to use and sounded crisp clear, no tweak, static or muffles, and the price was unheard of...of course I BOUGHT TWO!!All I can say, it doesn't get better than this, believe me I've tried!
I recently purchased this item to use with one of the original iPods that I inherited from my daughter when she bought a new one. My husband and I took a long road trip, often times through areas where radio reception was nonexistent. This adapter was very easy to use and the sound through our Bose car stereo was wonderful. I previously tried one of the iTrip adapters but didn't like the sound from it. I'd definitely recommend it!
