Product Reviews for:
4 out of 5When the radio blew in my 1998 jeep I had to seek other alternative for entertainment. I've been pricing these cassette adapters everywhere and almost bought it for $25 at Best Buy when one day I tried overstock and found it at a verrrry low price. I figured I had nothing to lose ...because it was so cheap. When the item arrived I plugged it in and was absolutely impressed with the sound and quality. Very easy to use, no static, no problem.
For the price this thing works great. There is some noise but I think if you are still using this type of adapter then you might expect it.
I ordered this and it works great. I have a 2nd Generation I-pod touch and it worked fabulous with it. It also worked with my old 2nd generation I-Pod nano as well. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!
I bought 3 of these tape adapters after reading the other reviews about some being "noisy" or not working in tape decks. I can verify those 2 complaints as of the 3 of these, one of them is indeed noisier than the other 2, and my tape deck doesn't seem to work with it very well. If I try with the "noisy" adapter several times in a row, it will finally accept it and work, but the other 2 work the first try every time. I have also noticed the sound quality can vary somewhat between different units. I am not sure if the placement of the magnetic head differs slightly, or if it is internal component differences. Either way, for the price, especially since they combine shipping, I would still recommend this product. Just get an extra one or two units "just in case". If you are lucky and all of them work great for you, then give the extra ones away to friends, or as cheap gifts. If not, at least some of them you order should work good, and you will still end up saving money over other places. Just my 2 cents. ;-)
This was the best 4 dollars I've spent in a long time. I got an older SUV which came with a tape deck. My first thought was, I will never use this. Then I did a search for iPod adaptor and this came up. I have spent nearly $100 dollars on the digital FM tuners and they never worked. I have absolutely no complaints about this item. Only wish I had got one for a friend.
I bought 3 of these. They work perfectly with our blackberry and ipods. now we can listen to any of our music, audio podcasts, streaming radio, etc. on our car stereos. Thanks O!
Works as expected. No complaints. What else? Works as expected. No complaints. What else?
This was one heck of a bargain! I had recently bought a Sansa MP3 player and this adapter works for it as well. Now I can listen to my music in my car (my car has both CD and casette player) and also at work without having the earphones on.
I wanted to play my iPhone/iPod in the car so as to avoid having earplugs in while driving. This simple adapter is easy to use, just plug it in. It was a great deal, arrived in a timely fashion, and works just fine. For once, it was as easy and reliable to purchase by internet/mail!

I am very happy with my purchase. The product is good, works well. It was shipped very promptly. It works completely to my satisfaction. I use it to play iPod songs in my car. I also used it to play songs from my CD player (diskman). Also tried with an mp3 player. It works fine with all. Great product for an unbelievable price. I would certainly recommend this product to everyone!

Works great !! Now I have my whole music library available in my 90's sports car !!
it always been rejected by my car. And even more it is block inside.
With a promo going on I got this for under a dollar. I am using it to have my Alias 2 cellphone output to my car. (Note this cassette uses a standard 3.5mm connector while the Alias 2 has a 2.5mm output, so I got a separate 2.5-3.5 adapter to connect the phone to the cassette.) It works fine, I am able to play mp3s from the phone through the cassette to the car speakers. I do not know what the exact sound quality is - I am able to hear everything fine and that's all I cared about.
i would like to rate this product 5 stars. i have a mp3 player and i didn't know how i was going to use it in the car till i got this. it's a 5 star product
Everything works absolutely great. I thought there might be some static noise or maybe low sound quality but it is as if I am just putting a CD in. Everything works great and I used it with both my iPhone and iPod.
My ipod sounds better than the radio with this adapter! thankgoodness I found this!
First off, let's get one thing straight: If there's a car audio cassette adapter for iPods that's made well, I haven't found it. In my experience, all of them start out fine (though with varying audio quality) and then after 2-3 weeks start developing whining or static that gets progressively worse until you can't really hear your music anymore. This is true of the higher-end $**** one I have, just as it is with this one, which cost me under $****. What I've also found, is that if you leave your cassette adapter at home/in the shade (not in a hot car) and don't use it for a few weeks or a month after it gets all static-y, it bounces back and becomes usable again for a while. So I bought this cheapie one to use while my more expensive one was "recovering". It's as cheap as they come - there's not even a brand name printed anywhere on the item or the packaging. The sound is meh - the quality's OK for what it is (i.e. not too tinny), but the volume is very soft/muffled; I have to crank it to "11" just to hear it when I'm on the freeway, so there's no real blasting your stereo and singing along with this thing. But like I said, it gets the job done - it's a temporary solution that makes my morning commute slightly less painful and it's cheap. I used it in a late 90's Honda and had no mechanical problems with it.
