Works well, charges and plays. But only new generation iPod, iPhone 5 or 6. The groove with the lightening connector is too narrow for 6 plus and it does not hold Ipad. However it does have a usb plug for your cable so you can charge both iPhone and iPad simultaneously. I ordered 2 and have no problem with either. It also has several interesting features that name brands don't. Good buy.
