Customer Reviews
I'd been drooling over this camera for some months before Overstock put it on sale. I'd read many many reviews and used what I'd read to help me make my purchasing decision. The end result is that I don't regret purchasing this camera at all. I'm still floored by, and learning, how to use many of the capabilities of this camera. It's more than just a point and shoot camera. It's almost as if Canon is trying to make this camera a one stop picture taking and editing station. I've taken pictures that have red-eye in them. The camera can take out the red-eye after the picture is taken. And just for the record, the results are seamless and just darn amazing. After you've taken a photo, you can crop (trim) the picture on the camera without ever having to use a computer. During the cropping process, you can zoom in or out to get the desired image. You can change the orientation from landscape to portrait. It records video, which is like many other cameras, but you are able to trim the beginning and end of the video footage on the camera itself.Honestly, this camera has way too many really cool functions to put all into one review, but it's well worth every penny.
This is an upgrade from my previous camera. I am a loyal Canon product user and have always had terrific results, and this is no different. Pictures are sharp and clear; the zoom is so much better than my previous; large display screen is a plus. I gave a 4 for ease of operation only because it seems a bit more complicated to use all the features, but don't let that scare you. Put it on Automatic and you will get the result you want. I've read through the manual and have played with some of the features so I just have to get used to using them. Lots it will do that I didn't expect. Buy this. It is a great value for the price.
Wonderful product. Cheap shipping and quick delivery. Overall, very satisfied with the overstock experience. The camera is great and easy to use. Takes fantastic photos!

I am pleased with the camera except for the automatic flash which pops up where you usually position your left hand. I hope I don't break it while using It.
I bought this camera before I went on vacation and I have been extremely pleased with the ease of operation and the quality of pictures. The zoom is more than adequate for what I wanted. The features are easy to understand and use. I especially like the fact that the messages appear on the screen in large enough type for me to read without putting on my reading glasses! What a plus! The editing features are easy to use and work great. There are a couple of physical features about the camera that I'm not crazy about. The "pop-up" flash feature is annoying for me and looks rather fragile. Also, the little compartment on the side that you open to connect the camera to a computer is attached by some flimsy looking rubber strips. So far no problem, but that does look like something that could break easily if you're not careful. FYI: I did discover that if you put a screen protector over the display screen, you can use the camera in full sun and still see the image you are shooting. What a helpful discovery!
