I received this camera very quickly. It is easy to use and takes excellent pictures. I wanted a smaller camera for those times I don't want to haul my larger SLR with me. I have been very pleased with this camera, the ease of use, and the quality of pictures it takes. Three other members of my family have the same camera in the various other colors and we are all hapy with them.
This camera was everything that I hoped it would be. Small and light weight pictures cames out great. I would recommand everyone to buy this camera for the money. You will not be disappointed with your buy.
I have the older model and just bought an upgrade of this for my daughter. We love the camera and the picyures are great. It is small and perfect for our needs. I love Canon !!!
I purchased this camera because I have an old PowerShot which is about 6 year old. It still works very well, but it is a little slow taking pictures. This new one is very light weight, compact, easy to use and now I can carry it in my purse to have ready at any given moment. I have not downloaded pictures yet, but judging from my old camera, which made wonderful prints, I expect this one to be even better.
We've gone through a few point-and-clicks dating back to an APS Elf back in 1998. The last time shopping we went with a Canon A540 last time. Pretty good photos, nice options, and durable. The downside was it was bulky and shot-to-shot times lagged considerably. This SD1200IS is the remedy. I still use the A540 but this one takes even better photos and has much better shot-to-shot times. There's even a setting where it will take consecutive photos every second for as long as you hold down the shutter button. I was concerned that I may fumble around with the buttons, but I really haven't had a problem, and it's definitely a non-issue for my wife (who's very happy by the way). We continue to be happy with Canon products and customer service.
