size matters
I really like the quality of the photos this camera takes but the camera itself is too small and makes it more difficult to use. I liked the larger size of the older Canon Powershot camera I had. I didn't have to remove the tripod attachment when I want to remove the memory card with my older camera but with this one I do and that is inconvenient. I like a camera that feels substantial in my hand and this one does not. Smaller is not better for an adult when using a camera!

Brother Loves it!
Elderly sibling had been very disappointed with other digital cameras and was ready to throw in the towel. The Canon Powershot A810 (given as a birthday gift) has him running around happily snapping away again. Photo quality is excellent for a point and shoot, and operation - if not totally intuitive - is easy to learn. It uses AA batteries, so he can use rechargeables if he likes, and easily always have spare batteries accessible. It offers all the (now) basic features including image stabilization, zoom and a few extras as well. I read several online camera reviews before deciding to purhase this one for him. I'm very happy with this purchase.
